WAIKATO WINTER SHOW
(P.A.) HAMILTON, This Day. The Waikato winter show was officially opened today by the GovernorGeneral, Sir Cyril Newall. On arrival at the show buildings their Excellencies were met by a guard of honour formed by the Hamilton company of the National Military Reserve and then they passed through lines. formed by the Women's Auxiliary Volunteer Corps. The awards include:— Butter Section.—Grand ■ championship, Golden Bay, 1; Cambridge, 2; Bay of Islands, 3. Open championship, box of export butter, Rodney (P. S. Halligan), 1; United (E. D. jHutchinson), 2. New Zealand championship, Waitoa (K. Campbell), 3. Cheese Section. —Grand championship, Parkvale (D. N. Adams), 1; Pahiatua (L. J. Haynes), 2. Open chamship, Dalefield (W. Linton), 1: Parkvale (D. N. Adams), 2; Pahiatua (L. J. Haynes), 3.
