GENERAL FREYBERG

TECHNICAL COLLEGE

TRIBUTE

As a sister institution to Wellington College, where Major-General B. C. Freyberg, V.C., received his education, the Wellington Technical College has paid its tribute to the excellent work that General Freyberg is doing in the defence of Crete. At a meeting of the college board of governors last evening a motion of congratulation, moved by Colonel T. W. McDonald, was passed. Colonel McDonald said it was fitting that a tribute should be paid from a sister institution of Wel-

lington College to General Freyberg and his men for their heroic and wonderful defence of Crete.

Seconding the motion, Mr. L. McK'enzie said General Freyberg had brought to New Zealand a military distinction never before earned by any other New Zealander.
