REVELATIONS AT VICHY

It is revealed by the Vichy agency 'hat a German raider believed to be fhe ex-Norwegian 7200-ton steamer Uamesis. built just before the war. hit he Egyptian steamer Zamzam, which ■vas previously reported missing, eight >r nine times with shells on April 17, while the passengers, who included 60 •\merirans, were still on board. Only 'wo Americans and one Egyptian were njured.
The passengers and crew were taken in board the raider, after which the •'amzain was dynamited. The passengers later were transhipped to the ■tiotor-ship Dresden and landed at St.-Jean-de-Luz, in Western France.— U.P.A.
