ABYSSINIA CAMPAIGN

BRITISH TAKE NEARLY 9000

LONDON, May 25

A communique from Cairo says that in Abyssinia 570 Italians, 5000 colonial troops, and 3000 native levies have been captured after fierce fighting south of Addis Ababa.

It is reported that in Abyssinia Free French aircraft yesterday bombed enemy troops in the Gondar area, and South African bombers and fighters machine-gunned enemy positions and motor transport at various points.

ITALIAN GENERAL KILLED
