NURSING DIVISION
SISTER MAKES APPEAL
The St. Paul's Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade competition for the Gourley Rosebowl was held recently in St. Paul". Schoolroom, Sydney Street. It was judged by Sister Sheila McKenzie, the divisional sister, and Dr. Phillipp, divisional surgeon. The winner was Miss Tompsett. Miss Farquhar was the runner-up. and Miss Osborn a close third.
Sister McKenzie made an appeal to all members to train to become nursing aids, as they most certainly might be needed, and she wanted them to be fully trained and prepared for any eventuality. Nursing Aid training, she stated was open to all members under 40 years of age who have their home nursing and first aid certificates and also the hygiene certificate. Dr. Phillipp fully endorsed Sister McKenzie's remarks. A light supper terminated the evening.
