QUOTA
Khandallah \considerably ■/■, exceeded its quota for the combined Red Cross andiSt. John Sick and Wounded Fund, and the annual report, presented at a recent meeting of the local Red Cross sub-centre, stated that the amount collected by the community was just over £1613. The district's allocation had been £700. .In addition other sums had been donated to the Wellington Centre of the Red Cross for its activities. Residents of the Arcus Estate had contributed over £50 to the sub-centre's funds since June, arid residents of the Homebush Estate had made some fine contributions for the sick and wounded. Both these areas were linked with the executive committee.
Many consignments of goods for the sick and wounded had been contributed to headquarters, the"report continued, and many local women had co-operated when calls were made for
