PETROL IN AUSTRALIA

Further cuts in. petrol allowances were announced by Senator Mcßride, the Supply Minister, last night. The .new rations provide, for 2000 miles a year by private cars and cycles. Cars used for private and business purposes will have a 20 per cent cut on the existing allowance. General goods vehicles are cut 10 per.cent, and taxis and, tourist vehicles will be allowed two-thirds of their mileage before rationing was introduced. . . V
