BRITISH COURAGE

UNIVERSAL CHARACTERISTIC

WHAT HITLER HAS TO FEAR

LONDON, April 30. The Australian Prime Minister, Mr. Menzies, during a tour of the bombed cities of Wales, said he had learned many lessons in the last few weeks. One was that courage was not the prerogative of a few; it was the universal character of the people.

He said he believed that when the enemy discovered that he was not dealing with a series of units which he might divide and conquer, but one solid, resolute mass of the people of the British race, wherever they lived, he would begin to get doubts—doubts that would grow into fears, and fears that would grow into defeat.
