ACTION POSSIBLE
GOLD DREDGE WORKERS
DELAY IN NEW AWARD
(P.A.) GREYMOUTH, This Day. Information in well-informed quarters indicates that there is grave dissatisfaction amongst gold dredge workers on the West Coast as the result of a delay in the making of a new award by the Arbitration Court, which heard the application two months ago. It was stated that unless something definite is done by the Court or the Government within a few days it is possible that the union will consider action which may drastically affect the smooth working of the industry, which employs 400 or 500 men. A telegram has been sent to the Minister of Labour urging immediate action in connection with the new award. ■' :■
