GERMAN WOMEN V. FRENCH
'THE DECEIVING SIREN"
According to the Berlin correspondent of the Chicago "Daily News," the latest problem which faces the Nazi leaders is to convince the women of Germany that their husbands are not succumbing to the blandishments of the ladies of France.
An article, in the current issue of the "Schwarzekorps" scolds irresponsible gossipers, and offers "relief and comfort to hearts which are unnecessarily tortured." It says: "No, dear German women, there is nothing in the story of the warrior from the north who succumbs to the charms of the deceiving 'siren and, like Tannhauser In the Venusberg mountain, forgets his own home in the process." German wives, .the article adds, "know, of course, that their men would not behave improperly, but the worm gnaws at their hearts, and next time their men come 'home and do not sleep because the coffee they bring with them is too strong, then it is * the charming French women who have appeared to them in their sleep."
