SPANISH MONARCHY
MOVE FOR RESTORATION
(Received April 21, 8 a.m.)
WASHINGTON, April 20.
Spaniards throughout the Americas are organising to restore the constitutional monarchy in Spain, said Don Manuel de Augustin, Marquess of Aguiar, after registering as a representative of the Spanish Monarchist Association.
■ He said that the headquarters of the movement, which was seeking to end the control of Spain by the Falange Party, had been established in Mexico under the control of the Marquess of Castellon, who was opening branches in all republics in the Western Hemisphere.
"Our present objective," he said, "is to show the people of the United States and Latin America that we want our country to be a democracy and to restore the constitutional m6harchy on the lines of the British Royal House."
He added that he regarded Don Juan as already King Juan 111, though he was without a throne.
