GERMAN SHIPS IN SOUTH AMERICA

SANTIAGO (Chile), April 20

The German steamer Erlangen has been painted grey and is ready for sea. The Erlangen arrived here in November. 1939, from New Zealand, under sail.

The German steamer Lech, which broke the blockade and reached Rio de Janeiro, lias left the dock and anchored in the bay, though she did not ask lor a permit to sail.
