POPPY DAY RECORDS

Auckland.—With returns from seven suburban clubs to come, the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association received £2373 from the annual Poppy Day appeal. It is expected that outstanding amounts will raise the total by at least £400, giving about £200 more than last year's amount, which was a record.

Dunedin. —The Poppy Day total for the city and suburbs is £1724 12s Bd, £182 2s 6d more than last year, which was a record. There are several returns to come.

Masterton.—Poppy Day in Masterton produced £243,, a record. There are some returns still to come in.

Hastings.—The Poppy Day appeal in Hastings set a new record, £302 being received, compared with £269 last year.
