LONDON, April 7.
A Greek communique states that the Germans, after having made some progress in the invasion from southern Bulgaria, have now heen held on the whole of the main front.
A Greek Government spokesman said that the German forces have left bodies piled high before the Greek defenders, without being able to advance. "Our soldiers," he said, "have written one of the greatest epics in Greek history. We arc fighting forces Avhich arc ten limes superior in numbers and which have mechanical implements a hundred times greater. German planes race overhead, hut our soldiers arc holding fast. Where if Avas expected that our troops Avould hold out for tAvo hours, Aye haA'e not only already held out for tAvelve hours, hut also are maintaining unbroken lines. There is still no report from YugoslaA'ia; news channels from there haA'e been silent since the battle opened. A German communique states that in spite of difficult territory and strong enemy resistance in Yugoslavia Nazi troops are advancing according to plan.
The Italian news agency states that aircraft bombed the Bulgarian capital. Sofia, and also two Rumanian towns.
The Belgrade correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain reports that the British force in-Greece totals 150,000 men. It includes seven full divisions, in addition to a great number of men of the Royal Air Force, engineers, and other experts.
