"ON RIGHT SIDE"

New Zealand finances

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, This Day,

"A preliminary examination of the accounts for the year just closed suggests that there will be a surplus of revenue over expenditure," said the Minister of Finance (Mr. Nash) before leaving for Wellington.

He said it was impossible yet to say what the surplus would be, and added: "After making provision for everything that it is necessary to meet, there will be a balance on the right side of the ledger."
