CHICAGO, March 31

Despite a strong rally after the midsession during which wheat prices reacted to new peaks for the past ten months, the grain market today was beleagured by profit-taking causing a downward drift of prices. The possibility of French action against British naval ships reacting against the movement of wheat to France probably was partly responsible for the weakness of the closing market.
