FEARS OF INVASION
FRENCH IN MOROCCO
NAZI INDUCEMENTS TO SPAIN
LONDON, March 25. The Lisbon correspondent of the
"Daily Telegraph" states that informa-
tion from Casablanca shows that the
French in Morocco are apprehensive of invasion from Spanish Morocco.
Indications supporting the fears include an influx of Germans into Tangier, the reopening of the German Consulate, and also the arrival of German officers to join the armistice corn-
mission in Casablanca
The Germans apparently plan to get Spain to move on their behalf by offering the Spaniards the prospect of securing French Morocco, though General Franco is still l-eluctant to involve the country with the fortunes of the Axis, because the feeding of gpaip deaend&,jQn.Britaux .an& Aincrjca.
