BAND PICNIC

Members of the Boys' Institute Band, with their families and friends, held their annual picnic at Maori Bank during the weekend. Toys, ice creams, and drinks were provided 'for the children, and the band, under the baton of'its president. Mr. Tom Gray, enlivened proceedings with several selections. Messrs. Gray, Bailie, and Stafford supervised a sports programme and the organisers of the picnic were tho secretary, Mr. J. C. King, and the chairman, Mr. E. Bull.
