TAWA FLAT PLANNING

Keen interest is being taken by the Tawa Flat Ratepayers' and Progressive Association in the efforts of the Internal Affairs Department to persuade the Makara: County Council to formulate a town planning scheme for Tawa Flat., it was stated at a recent meeting of the association. For a considerable time the association has endeavoured to convince the county of the need for this action being taken but with no success. Judging by the experiences of other local bodies the association feels that early application of the scheme is necessary and welcomes the entry of the Government Department into this matter.
