AUCKLAND, February 17./ Auckland are in an excellent position to gain an outright, win in the Centennial Cup cricket match against Wellington, which was continued in fine weather today. Wellington made 195 on Saturday and the home side, with three for 133 in reply, carried on today to declare, at 417..f0r, nine wickets. Wellington fared even worse in their second innings and at stumps had lost six wickets for 7.1 runs. Un ; less rain intervenes, Wellington have little prospect of averting an innings defeat.
