THEFT FROM PARTNER

Theft of property belonging to a man who left it in his charge on joining the Air Force resulted in the appearance of Gordon Elliott Brown, a salesrrAn, aged 27, in the Magistrate's Court today, before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. He pleaded guilty to the theft of photographic goods valued at £45, and was convicted and placed on probation for a year ..and ordered to make restitution of the amount of £8 7s 6d.

Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan said that Brown had a room in Manners Street, and entered into partnership with the complainant, who had the next room. As soon as the complainant left to join the Air Force Brown started pawning the property which had been left in his charge.
