A WEEK'S OPERATIONS

RUGBY. February 15
During the week ended at dawn yesterday the raids over Germany and German-occupied territory were widespread and heavy, in spite of bad weather conditions.
The industrial area of Hanover was twice attacked The first attack was •exceptionally heavy and successful and lasted six hours. Over 90 per cent, of the bombing forces reached the objectives, and the fires were too numerous to count. Industrial targets at Bremen and Mannheim were attacked Oil storage depots at Rotterdam were raided three times. Boulogne and Calais each received throe visits, and Ostend Dunkirk, and Flushing two each Shipping and docks at these points were raided at night and during the day.
Fighters also made offensive sweeps The seaplj.np base a 1 Thistea, Jutland was raided while supply sh'ps and detroyers werra bombed off the Nor wegian coast. Shipping at Kristian southern Norway, was- also attacked.
In all these offensive operations and during the fighter patrols twelve Bri tish aircraft were lost, and also one bomber crashed on landing, though the crew ar,e safe. Two German fighters we're destroyed and a third most probably crashpd
