"MOVIE" INDUSTRY'S DRIVE
With characteristic energy the Motion Picture Industry is forwarding the interests of its queen candidate in the Victory Queen Carnival. The industry has produced the first number of a mimeographed journal, "Movie Queen News," which records the activities of its patriotic committees. It announces that an air-raid shelter is being erected on the corner of Hunter and Featherston Streets and will be occupied from March 3 to 8 by the Movie "Queen," Mrs. A. Ben. Fuller, and her staff.
? Arrangements have been made for the erection of stalls in and around the city as soon as sites are approved by the City Council. A big street day has been arranged for March 7. Free seats will no longer be available in Wellington theatres; holders of passes will find that they are called upon to donate 3d per head to the Movie "Queen" campaign. Many other schemes are also afoot to separate the Wellingtonian from a part of his cash in the cause of patriotic effort.
