The R.A.F. raids on Hanover have caused a fresh outburst of Axis exaggerations
On February 11 the Germans claimed that 38 British aircraft had been shot down since Sunday.
On February 12 the Italians claimed that the number was 50, and later increased it to 77. '
The actual Josses over Germany and German-occupied territory on- Sunday were two, on Monday three, on Tuesday night four, and on Wednesday lour, and in the Mediterranean area on Saturday and Sunday nights four were lost.
No British fighters have been lost over Britain since January 4.
