The feeding arrangements in the London air-raid shelters are proceeding quickly. Nearly 1900 shelters nightly serve about 200,000 people with food. The shelter population Varies, and as the number given does not include tube shelters served by the London Transport Board, the magnitude of the task still to be performed is very' great.

The Ministry of Food issuss equipment on free loan to all authorities in the London area, and has set up a central pool, which includes equip? ment, on which all authorities can draw. |
