NEW AIDE
CAPT. C. J. HOLLAND-MARTIN

Captain C. J. Holland-Martin (Royal Fusiliers) is to accompany Sir Cyril Newall, the new Governor-General, to New Zealand as his aide-de-camp.
Captain Holland-Martin joined the Territorial Army before the outbreak of war, but owing to his eyes troubling him he has had to undergo a number of operations. This has obliged him to give up hope of active service, at least for the time being.
Educated at Eton and Balliol, Oxford, Captain Holland-Martin is a member of Martin's Bank, which has the reputation of being the oldest bank in England. It was founded by his ancestor, Sir Richard Martin, in 1533. with Sir Thomas Gresham. Its London office has stood on the same sight, in Lombard Street, since that date. After the last war, it amalgamated with the Bank of Liverpool, where the head office is now situated.
Captain Holland-Martin, who is not •married, numbers fishing among his favourite recreations.
