NEWS IN RUMANIA

THE BREACH WITH BRITAIN

LONDON, February 13.

Today the people of Rumania learnt for the firstjtime, through a brief communique, that diplomatic relations had been broken off between Great Britain and Rumania. Four members of the British Legation staff at Bucharest are expected to reach Turkey on Sunday.

Reports continue to come in of increased German military preparations in Rumania. Today's messages tell of continued precautions against air attack. The black-out is now said to be complete throughout Rumania, and the Rumanian Government has issued a stern warning in which it says: "Remember that the light of a match in the street can be seen by planes 10,000 feet high and may reveal the city to the enemy."
