Winds.—Turning to fresh westerlies over the northern half of the North Island and later to south-westerlies in Auckland Peninsula. Elsewhere moderate to fresh south-easterlies to north-easterlies prevailing.

Seas.—Rough in Cook Strait and becoming rough north of Cape Egmont; elsewhere slight or moderate.'

Weather.—Fair to fine in Otago and Southland; elsewhere cloudy to overcast, with rain at times, but conditions improving from north and west. Temperatures cool.
