MOUNTED BRIGADE

HEADQUARTERS AT FOXTON

Headquarters of the ' 2nd Mounted Brigade have been established this week at Fox ton, where the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles and the Queen Alexandra's Mounted Rifles (two units of the brigade) have, also been concentrated to commence their three months' intensive Territorial training. The Manawatu Mounted Rifles (Motorised) have gone into,camp at Palmerston North. The brigade commander is Colonel W. R. Foley, M.C.

The first portion of the training will be devoted to dismounted work, and mounted training will commence about the middle of March. ■
