LATE CHIEF SCOUT
MEMORIAL SERVICE
SIR CYRIL NEWALL MAY ATTEND
It is hoped that the new GovernorGeneral and Dominion Chief Scout Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sii Cyril Newall, will be able to attend the national Boy Scout and Girl Guid« memorial service to the late Lord Baden-Powell, Chief Scout and foundei of the movement. The service will b« held in the Wellington Town Hall al 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, anc will be of a solemn religious character rhe attendance of the new Governor General cannot be certain until he has had an opportunity to accept the invitation extended to him by Dominior Headquarters of the Boy Scout Move ment. It is expected that the Bishop oi Wellington (the Rt, Rev. H. St. Barbt Holland) will officiate, assisted by othei clergy, and will, deliver tfie address ir memory of the late Chief Scout. The Prime Minister (Mr, Fraser) the Mayor of Welington (Mr. Hislop) and 500 other guests have been invitee to be present, and as there are aboul 1800 Scouts and Guides in Wellington a large part of the Town Hall will b« reserved. Consequently the accommodation for the general public will be Limited.
