N.Z.E.F. IN LIBYA

Sir,—l hope for the honour of the N.Z.E.F. the "amusing and novel" incident recorded in Tuesday's "Post" is not common and has been adequately dealt with by the authorities. Apparently a defenceless prisoner of war of high rank was defrauded of a large sum of money, not by' his captors even, but by a transport driver —an interesting person to return to receive the benefits we are preparing for them. —I am, etc.,

[Other accounts show wholly different treatment of prisoners of war. The paragraph stated that an investigation was held, but apparently it was not possible to trace the offender.]
