DOMINION'S PART
ADVISER FROM BRITAIN

AUCKLAND, February 4. To advise and collaborate with the New Zealand Government in the production of tanks and other fighting vehicles, Mr. H. Heath, a member of the British Ministry of Supply, arrived from Sydney by the Awarua today. Mr. Heath was a member of the British delegation to the Empire Economic Conference at Delhi last October, and since then has spent some time in Australia conferring with officials.
"Britain wants everything she can get," said Mr. Heath when asked what was particularly required of New Zealand in the way of war material. Mr. Heath said that tanks and other fighting vehicles were his special interest,, and he would discuss questions of production with Government officials and others. He would also endeavour to assist in solving any problems that had already arisen in the sphere of armament manufacturing.
Mr. Heath will spend nearly a fortnight in New Zealand befpre leaving for America by the Pan-American clipper. In the United States he will confer with the British Purchasing Mission at Washington. He hopes to return to Britain by the middle .of March.
On his arrival, Mr. Heath was met by the Government reception officer, Mr. Furlong, and subsequently left for the south. He will make Wellington his headquarters in the Dominion.
