Mr. Ralston, stated ion Monday that between 40,000 and 80,000 new recruits will be required this year for the Canadian Army in order to carry out the programme announced by the Prime Minister. . About 50,000 men, said Mr. Ralston, were proceeding overseas, including a tank brigade of three battalions, an armoured division of 12,000 men, fully equipped, and a third Canadian infantry division.
