LOWER HUTT CARNIVAL.

The carnival week organised by the Lower Hutt R.S.A., to raise funds for clubrooms, will be officially opened by the Mayor the Recreation Grounds at 7.30 this;evening, and the ceremony will be followed by a sports meeting on the brightly illuminated arena. Guests invited to the opening are requested to use the Myrtle Street entrance, from which the grandstand is easily reached, and to be seated by 7.30.

There will be plenty of entertainment in addition to the sports, in the form of side-shows, stalls, and competitions.
