MRS. R. W. McVILLY.

The death occurred yesterday of Mrs. McVilly, wife of Mr. R. W. McViliy, M.V.0., who was formerly General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Mrs. McVilly was a native of Dunedin, a daughter of the late Mr. John Stevens of that city. She had lived for

many years in Wellington and was well known as a charming hostess and firm friend.

Mrs. McVilly's main interests outside her home were in the Wellington Women's Club and croquet, although at one time she took a keen interest in bowls. She was a prominent member of the Kelburn Croquet Club and was made life patroness in recognition of her work for the club. She will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends.
