SITTING OF COMMISSION

The Royal Commission set up to investigate the explosion at Kaye and party's mine at Ten Mile on November 6, 1940. which resulted in the loss of five lives, will commence its sitting at Greymouth on January 23.

The members of the commission, are Mr. .G. G. Chisholm, S.M., Greymouth (chairman); Mr. Watson, Huntly, superintendent of the Taupiri Coal Mines, Limited; Mr. A. McLagan, Greymouth, secretary of the United Mine Workers of New Zealand; Mr. T. O. Bishop, Wellington, secretary of the New Zealand Coal Mine Owners' Association; and Mr. J. Devlin, Wallsend. president of the United Mine Workers of New Zealand
