IN COLLABORATION

POLAND & CZECHO-SLOVAKIA

(British Official Wireless.) (Received January 18, 1 p.m.)

RUGBY, January 17

A staff college has been inaugurated in London by the Sikorski College, designed for both Polish and Czech officers. Lecturers will be drawn from among the higher officers, with, former Staff College experience, of both armies. Performing the opening ceremony in the presence of the Chief of Staff of- the Czecho-SloVak army, General . Ziiamencek, General- Sikorski laid stress upon the political importance of the fact that the Staff ;Cpllege would serve the armies of Poland and Czecho-Slovakia simultaneously. The closest collaboration of the-two nations was imperative, he said,1 not only because of their racial affinity, but also because of. their geographical position, and he admitted that' both nations had only latterly paid a veryhigh price for disregarding this principle. The two Governments had en-* tered now on the road of close collaboration, and the Staff College was an expression of this intention.
