At a meeting held in the R.S.A. rooms, the- name oi ..the • Queen was announced- to. a" gathering of delegates from the various organisations supporting the Queen. She is Sister Molly Mahoney, at present sister-in-charge at Trentham Military. Camp. She was chosen with the full approval of Army Headquarters, and. Colonel Kemp, medical officer in charge of Trentham, has granted' every facility ' to Sister Mahoney to take part-in the-carnival. GENERAL SATISFACTION. The choice of a serving Army sister has given immense ' satisfaction to the nursing profession generally, and all returned soldiers and all those people whose cons are a\va'y or are in camp will be equally gratified. There will be six princesses supporting the Queen. So far two have been chosen: Miss Denice Puttick, of the A.N.A. Club, and Miss Peggy Myers, of Johnsonville R.S.A. Four other princesses will be nominated by the Spinsters Club, Army Base Records, Licensed Victuallers' Association, and Wellington Basketball Association. The Army,"Navy, and Air Force are solidly behind the movement, and a number of organisations have promised support... .'•". A meeting of all bodies will be held in.the - Wellington R.S.A. rooms, 12 Victoria' Street, at, 8 p.m., on Monday, January' 27, when the queen and her princesses will' be present to meet those who are working for her, and plans will .be formulated to obtain the greatest public support for the candidature of the .Fighting Services Queen. A UNIQUE OCCASION. On Wednesday, January 29, Sister Molly Mahoney will be the guest of honour at the R.S.A. monthly luncheon at Kirkcaldie and Stains. This is a most unique occasion as it will be the first .time a woman has been the guest at these luncheons.

A strong committee has been formed, comprising Mr. T. H. Ashton (chairman), Mr. , H.,» L. Cooper (treasurer), Mr. D...Alabaster (secretary), Mr. L. K. - (organiser), Colonel A. Cowl'es, Dr. N. A.- Foden, and Messrs. A. P. Dwan, S. Porter, W. J. Conroy, W. F. Rowe, E. Dean, all of whom ar^ returned soldiers.
