LONDON, January 13
A cablegram, sent to the Eire Government today by a number- of Irish Canadians in Canada, makes the suggestion, that many peuple of Irish descent in the North American Corrtirrent would support co-operation by Eire with Britain- against the Axis Powers. The list of signatories is headed by Dr. Manion, former- leader of the Canadian Conservative Party;
It is announced that Eire is likely to be faced with' a growing* shortage of wheat and5 cattle-feeding' stuffs-, and' it iiff planned tor bring mtrre^ extra" areas into cultivation, tftis yeaiv An. appeal' for this increase was made 1 by the Minister of Agriculture m an address in Dublin1.
