Planes for Britain

LONDON, January 13,

It is revealed that four different kinds of United States bombers are now being flown across the Atlantic by the R.A.F. They are: Lockheed Hudson long range reconnaissance bombers for the Coastal Command; Boeing B-17 four-engined bombers; Consolidated two-engined flying-boats; and Lockheed-Vega Ventura bombers.

The Lockheed-Vega is a larger and faster type of Lockheed Hudson. The Boeing B-17 is a big bomber 'popularly known as the "flying fortress." A large number of these United States bombers has already arrived in this country, and a continuous stream of them will crossing the Atlantic in the future.
