Daughter's Birthday Honoured,
An enjoyable birthday party was given recently by Mrs. J. A. Genet, at her home in Ngaio in honour of her daughter, Pauline. Tea was served in the drawing-room. An interesting musical programme was arranged by Miss Violet Roberts. Those taking part were Marie Gleeson, Peter Gleeson, Pauline Genet, Charles Genet, Desmond Jones, Noeline Jones, Ivan Reed, Barbara Wood, Barry Wood, Barry Jones, Loretta Jones, and Adrian Jones, Sergeant and Mrs. Jones, and Violet Roberts. Air Force Relations at Wanganui. One of the most interesting items at Wanganui Air Force Relations' meetings is the period devoted to reading interesting paragraphs from the letters of airmen abroad, writes "The Post's" Wanganui representative. Recently three more Wanganui lads were the guests of the committee at morning tea. They were Messrs. Emmett, Garfath, and McCarthy, and the two latter being accompanied by their mothers. Each airman received a gift, and the mothers floral sprays. Mrs. C. R. White, vice-president, was in charge of the gathering.
