RETAIL REGULATIONS
Revised Oil Fuel Retail Hours. Emergency • Regulations are issued in ' the Gazette. These state that the sponsors of any requisition to fix the hours of business of retail licensees are required to give" notice in the local Press at least- seven days prior to the' delivery of the requisition to the Minister.- Provision is also made'for. the right, of appeal to a Stipendiary Magistrate by' any retail licensee for total or partial exemption from the provisions of'any closing order .issued by the Minister 6ri the gi-'ounds of undue hardship: . ;
The. Oil Fuel Retail Hours, Emergency Regulations (No. 2), 1940, are in substitution for the Oil Euel.Retail Hours Emergency Regulations, 1940, which are revoked, but orders issued by the Minister fixing the retail hours of establishments engaged, in the sale by retail of 'oil fuel are continued, in force by,regulation 4. Among the alterations .made, in the existing regulations is that; the definition. of "oil fuel"-has been, amended" and'now this term is made?applicable only, to,.mot'or spirits. ' The jppporturiity -has also been taken of adopting 'a more concise phrase than the term "seller, by retail of oil-fuel," which is being replaced by the expression - '-retail, licensee"; which is? defined in regulation .2. . . , > • • / ■ ,
