In our recent advertisement on "The j Controversy for Zion" we stated that "The Seed" of Abraham contemplated •by God in making His covenant with Abraham (Gen. 15:18) is ' both the Spiritual and natural seed of Abraham —Jesus Christ j and the Jews. Our attention has been j directed to the fact that no reference was j made to the Saints who obviously are included in the Spiritual "Seed." Time in that particular lecture did not permit of our referring to that very essential fea- • ture which, however, will be fully considered in the course of this Sunday's lecture when it will be shown: — (1) THAT although the Spiritual "Seed" j of Abraham is pre-eminently Jesus Christ (Gals. 3:16) it certainly includes His Saints, i.e., baptised believers of the Gospel of Christ. (Gals: 3:27-29, Mark 16:15-16, Ephs. 2:11-13, Roms. 11:13-25, Roms, 2:29.) (2) THAT these "heirs according to the promise" will be manifested at the return of Jesus Christ to earth and after the resurrection and judgment. (2 Tim. 4:7-8, 2 Tim. 4:1, 1 Thess. 4:16, Dan. 12:2, Rev. 11:18, 2 Cor. 5:10.) (3) THAT the resurrection and judgment occurs immediately after the coming Divine overthrow in the land of Israel (Dan. 11:40-45 and Dan. 12:1-2, Psa. 50:3-5, Matt. 24:29-31, Mark 13:24-27, Matt. 25:31-46), for although there is no evidence in the Scriptures that the Saints will be associated with Christ in that overthrow, there is evidence that thereafter: , (a) The Saints will be associated with Christ in His inheritance of "The Land of Promise." (Gen. 13:15, Luke 13:28, Matt. 19:28, Luke 22:30.) (b) The Saints will be associated with Christ in the proclamation of "the everlasting Gospel" to "every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and-people" which takes place after the overthrow of the Gogian hosts in Palestine but before "the hour" of Divine judgment begins. This proclamation is Pentecostian, not judicial and vengeful. (Rev. 14:1-7, Joel 2:32.) (c) The Saints will be associated with Christ in the battle of Armageddon, the opening battle of "the war of the Great Day of God Almighty," i.e., the beginning of "The hour of Judgment." (Rev. 16:16, Rev. 19:19,-Rev. 17:12-14, Psa. 118:10-12, Psa, 2:1-9, Zeph. 3:8, Joel 3:11-17, Isa. 29:7-8.) (d) The Saints will be associated with Christ in the execution of drastic Divine judgments upon "every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people' during the prolonged "War of the great day of God Almighty," i.e., the transition period between the existing Kingdoms of men and the coming KINGDOM OF GOD. (Jude, verse 14-15, Psa. 149:5-9, Dan. 7:22, Haggai 2:7, Jer. 25:30-33, Mai. 4:1-3, Rev. 16: 17-21, Rev. 19:15). ' (c) And thereafter the Saints will be associated with Christ in His Millennial reign upon earth. (Rev. 20:6, Rev. 2: 26-27. Rev. 5:9-10, 2 Tim. 2:12,. 1. Cor. 6:2, Matt. 25:34, Dan. 7:18, 22, 27.) MARANATHA (i.e., OUR LORD COMETH) BROADCASTS have just been sent out by the King, President Roosevelt, Mr. Churchill, and General Smuts. With the exception of a brief mention of God by j the King, none of the other great leaders have made reference to the Majesty on high. Yet He is the SUPREME FACTOR. It is what God shall decree that will eventuate. But men are more afraid of Hitler than they are of God. The "Christian Herald" (London), of September 5, 1940, states: "Sir Charles Marston has presented 1216 petitions to the Prime Minister urging his Majesty the King to issue a Royal Proclamation calling upon all loyal citizens to return to humble j dependence upon God." Sir Charles is of the opinion that in this grave national emergency, the spiritual forces of the nation should be mobilised as well as the material ones, and he has addressed recently a further letter to the Prime Minister drawing attention to this pressing need. The Prime Minister in his acknowledgment of Sir Charles Marston's letter assured him that the documents had been laid before his Majesty. "In the light of all that has happened," writes Sir Charles, "I think that the nation is ready now to go forward with God and to put their trust in Him but they need Royal leadership." Alas, all such appeals remain unheeded. There is "a dead hand" laid upon all proposals of this nature. We make bold to assert that if King George adopted the same attitude towards God that the King of Nineveh did as recorded in the Book of Jonah, chapter 3, the Lord would crush nil our enemies in an instant. Whereas if we fail to humble ourselves and cry to Him no one can say how the matter will end. Christian men and women of Wellington, join us in earnest prayer for a world-wide revival and for the restoration of peace. Christians who fail to unite in prayer with their brethren are laying themselves open to the charge of bloodguiltiness. Our Wellington "seventh column," God willing, proposes to still carry on the Sunday afternoon meeting from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Supper" Rrfom of the V.M.C.A., by kind permission of the general secretary. Do any of us comprehend what we ask for when we pray "Thy Kingdom Come"? The booklet is a humble attempt to explain something of this Divine inexplicable.
