DOUGHNUTS FOR SALE

Nearly 300 doughnuts were sold recently by Mrs. Randolph E. Kidder, wife of the U.S.A; Vice-Consul in Sydney, at a party given by the American Society at the Hotel Australia.

The party was in aid of the Red Cross Society's Air-raid Victims' Fund. Large cardboard models of "Uncle Sam" and "John Bull' were part of the decorations. Funds were augmented through the services of a black cardboard cat called Faith. She was labelled "Feed the Kitty" and donations were made through her mouth.
