The Oamaru Jockey Club's Summer Meeting opened in very hot weather and. with a hard track. There is a good attendance-. Results:— " * Highweight Handicap, £ 130; 1 mile. —2-2 Twenty Grand, 9.0 (Clutterbuck), 1- l-I Muffler, 9.12 (Walther), 2; 5-5 Lawford Lass, 9.0 (Anderton), 3. Scr: Knight Commander, Cymric, Prince Ruenalf. Won by one and a half lengths; three lengths. Time, lmin 40sec.
