TO PLAY CANTERBURY
WELLINGTON TEAM
Wellington's cricket representatives have an engagement with Canterbury at Christchurch during the New Year holidays, and the team for the southern trip will be stronger than that which met Auckland. M. P. Donnelly (Taranaki) and T. L. Pritchard (Manawatu), who were not available against Auckland, are included, and J. Ashenden replaces T. Downes (Manawatu), who was unable to accept S- place in the side to play Canterbury. H. Lubransky has dropped out, leaving one vacancy.
The selection is:—J. R. Lamason (Wellington College Old Boys) captain, M. P. Donnelly (Taranaki), H. W. Osborn (Midland), N. Burnette (Wellington College Old Boys), W. E. Norris (Manawatu), P. D. Wilson (University), D. S. Wilson (Kilbirnie), T. Russ (Kilbirnie), G. Rabone (Wellington), T. L. Pritchard (Manawatu), and J. Ashenden (Kilbirnie), with the vacancy to be filled later. C. K. Parsloe:was not available.
The team will leave on Tuesday, with Mr. J. D. Howitt as manager.
