BRITISH ISRAEL BELIEF
The national secretary (E. E. Barj rows) of the British-Israel-World Federation (N.Z.),, Incorporated, writes on behalf of the national executive committee in reference to a report on December 2, under the caption of "What is Religion," that an applicant for exemption from military service "was a member of the Commonwealth Covenant Church, formerly the British Israelites. ..." The New Zealand branch of the World Federation, it is stated, disclaims any connection or sympathy with persons or bodies who. whilst professing to be British -Israel believers, set up a "church" in contradiction of the declared policy of the World Federation and its branches throughout the Commonwealth of Nations. "We have no 'ministers,' no separate worship, and no Sunday services. We accept and teach the fundamental truths of the Christian religion, and urge our members to remain loyal to, and active workers in, the Churches of their different denominations."
