NOW USELESS

PORT OF VALONA ONLY ONE ITALIAN SEA BASE LEFT ,Britisb Official Wireless.) KUGBY, December 11. British Air Force headquarters in Athens announced that R.A.F. bombers again raided Valona. A ship in the harbour was hit and other bombs fell among buildings, on a munitions dump, and in a transport park. All the aircraft returned safely. LONDON, December 12.

According to messages from Athens, the Royal Air Force has made Valona, the Italian supply port in Albania, useless. Valona was raided for the fifteenth time yesterday. This leaves Italy with only one sea base in Albania —the port of Durazzo, in northern Albania. Agency reports say that at Valona jetties have been broken up at several places, and a transport vessel sunk in the main channel.
