PROBATION FOR YOUTH
Walter William Lockwood, a farm labourer, aged 20, who had pleaded guilty at Waipukurau to two charges of forgery and two of uttering, was admitted to probation for three years by Mr. Justice Smith in. the Supreme Court today. The prisoner admitted that expenses in connection with a motor-truck he had bought from his employer for £14 10s had left him short of money for other needs, and he had forged a -cheque for £5 15s and one for £10 10s.
