Italian Forces

CRACK TROOPS THROWN INTO THE FIGHT

(British Official Wireless)

(Received November 28, 11.40 a.m.)

KUGBY, November 27.

Press messages state that heavy reinforcements of crack Italian troops have been thrown into the fight along1 practically the whole front in Albania, but that desperate efforts to stem the many-pronged Greek advances have gained little success.

A serious threat, it is stated, appears to be developing to Santo Quaranti, a port used by the Italians for the disembarkation of troops in southern Albania. Fighting1 is heavy at Delvino, 10 miles by road from Santo Quaranti.
